๐ค Insider Trades Tab
The Insider Trades tab (app.bigshort.com/insiderTrades, nav Insider Trades) is a live feed of corporate-insider transactions โ the open-market buys and sells that officers, directors, and 10% shareholders are required to report to the SEC on Form 4. Because insiders know their own companies better than anyone, clusters of insider buying (or selling) can be an early conviction signal, and this tab surfaces the raw filings as they arrive.
Reading the Tableโ
Each row is a single reported transaction. The columns are:

| FILING | The date the Form 4 was filed with the SEC |
| TRADE | The date the transaction actually took place |
| TICKER | The company's symbol |
| COMPANY | The company name |
| INSIDER | The individual who made the trade |
| TITLE | The insider's role (e.g. Dir CEO Pres). A โ marks a notable, high-signal insider |
| TYPE | Buy or Sell |
| PRICE | The per-share price of the transaction |
| QTY | The number of shares transacted |
| REMAINING | The shares the insider still holds after the trade |
| % CHG | The change in the insider's holding |
| VALUE | The dollar value of the transaction |
The final column links to the underlying SEC form, and each row also has a chart link that jumps straight to that ticker's main chart so you can put the filing in market context.
Filtering and Sortingโ
Two controls sit above the table:
- Filter โ All ยท Purchases ยท Sales. Isolate buying (often the higher-signal side, since insiders sell for many reasons but buy for essentially one) or selling.
- Sort โ Newest ยท Value: High โ Low ยท Value: Low โ High. Sort by recency to see what just hit the tape, or by dollar value to focus on the largest, most meaningful transactions.
How to Use the Insider Trades Tabโ
- Watch for buying clusters: several insiders โ especially โ CEOs and directors โ buying the same name around the same time is a stronger signal than any single trade.
- Weigh the size: sort by Value and note the % CHG column; an insider meaningfully increasing their own stake carries more weight than a token purchase.
- Confirm with the tape: open the ticker's chart from the row link and check whether BigShort's flow indicators agree with what the insider is doing before you act.
